We are finally into our new house, as of two weeks ago. We have been enjoying having a "clean slate", but have found the days are long with endless decisions as to where everything can go! We have managed to accumulate quite a large pile for a yard sale, which we hope to have in about one month. We were given several pieces of furniture by some family & friends, including a purple chair, gray couches, end tables and even an old clock- which we don't have quite yet!
The kids have really adjusted well. Caleb is the one who misses our old house the most, and probably misses sharing a room with Rebekah even more. They have had several "sleepovers" in each other's rooms already, but usually end up back in their own bed sometime during the night. The kids have enjoyed setting up their new rooms, and having a lot of our "old" things back that were packed in boxes for a while. Some boxes were packed almost two years, so it was like Christmas opening them up- don't know what you'll find! The kids have made friends with several of the neighbors. There are two little girls across the street, ages 5 and 2. There is a 7 year-old boy who lives behind us, that we knew from Caleb's last two baseball teams! There is a family up the road 1/4 mile that we know from our church, the Sigrists. They have chickens, doves, horses, dogs, etc., One night last week, we took a walk and saw Sarah and fed the horses some biscuit treats. We hope to get chickens sometime here, so we will take some lessons from the Sigrists and other friends (and old neighbors) the Rossmans!
I could go on and on, but will stop for now. Enjoy the pictures!
