Nina got married!

When we went to Denver last weekend, it was for Jill's sister Nina's wedding. The ceremony was at Hudson Gardens in Denver, and even though it was rainy, it was beautiful! Jill read 1 Corinthians 13, and Joshua sang "Love Never Fails" by Brandon Heath. We had a great time dancing at the reception with family! Here are some photos...

Thy Word- Song by Amy Grant

I've always liked the verse, Psalm 119:105, the theme of my blog. Amy Grant sings a song called Thy Word that I also like. When I read her book called Mosaic she had a part where she discussed writing Thy Word. She talked about how she was writing music at her ranch in the mountains with Michael W. Smith. She had a few lyric ideas for Michael's beautiful melody inspired by Psalm 119. She planned to jot them down when she returned to her cabin.

On that moonlight night she was walking outdoors after fresh snowfall. She is completely night blind. In the pitch black, she ran into tree limbs, tripped & fell. No amount of squinting brought anything familiar into view. She kept walking, waving her hands in front of her to protect her face. She wasn't even sure she was going in the right direction. She wasn't far away, she knew, but she felt panicked anyway. When she finally stumbled upon the cabin, the fire was already burning in the fireplace. To be lost, even for a little while, made her welcome the light. I loved to learn the inspiration for one of my favorite songs!
