Garden update

Last summer, we did not have a garden. This May, since we were home so much more, we decided to put in a garden. I planted everything by seed in mid-May. We have been getting lettuce since mid-June, and loving it! I feel like the plants are really growing in all of the heat the past few weeks. We planted tomatoes (3 came up), sweet peppers, and cucumbers. There is a lot of green out there! We put in a few different kinds of lettuce/ spinach in a mixture, and it has been fun to get purple/ green spinach as well as fluffy lettuce! It is fun to plant from seed because you aren't always sure what will come up!

Enjoy the pictures!

Happy cucumbers... there are 3!
Tall lettuce that is at the end of it's growing season...

How about you? Do you have a garden this year? Tell me about it... what have you grown?

Genesis 1:11-12
Then God said, “Let the land produce vegetation: seed-bearing plants and trees on the land that bear fruit with seed in it, according to their various kinds.” And it was so. The land produced vegetation: plants bearing seed according to their kinds and trees bearing fruit with seed in it according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.

Isaiah 61:11
For as the soil makes the sprout come up and a garden causes seeds to grow, so the Sovereign Lord will make righteousness and praise spring up before all nations.

Matthew 13:23 (The end of the parable of the sower)
But the seed falling on good soil refers to someone who hears the word and understands it. This is the one who produces a crop, yielding a hundred, sixty or thirty times what was sown.”
