Halloween 2020

We had a fun but different Halloween this year, just like everything else in 2020! Caleb was at a party when we decorated pumpkins, so we decorated them with our two girls and a friend. It was different because they did most of the work themselves! I did help Bethany carve part of her cat outline though.

We brought these pumpkins to our church's Harvestfest so we didn't make them too different or scary this year!
Mallory's even has a bow!
I found this idea online... I am a spelling bee! I already had the wings and found an inexpensive sweatshirt online. I knew our church's event would be outside, and a t-shirt would not do!
Bethany dressed up as a flying squirrel... using her pj's she got for her birthday last year. She was warm & cozy!
Mallory and her bestie dressed up as Daphne and Velma from Scooby-Doo... they looked great!
Caleb and his girlfriend dressed as Orioles fans... they were a greaser and 50's girl for school or a party. Our Harvest festival was outdoors this year (because of COVID) and it was also different because our youngest girl was old enough to help... so we all helped this year instead of having a child to go through and play all of the games. I got to stand by the fire, help direct kids and talk about the "Truth" booth... we talked about how God cleans us out like a pumpkin and brings us a new heart, filled with his light and joy!

Our oldest daughter dressed up as Napoleon Dynamite again, with her boyfriend as Pedro. We did not see them on Halloween though, since she had to work. She always likes seeing the little kids from our church dressed up in her cute costumes too!

How was your Halloween this year? Was it different? I'd like to hear about it!

Psalm 27:1
The Lord is my light and my salvation— whom shall I fear? The Lord is the stronghold of my life— of whom shall I be afraid?

John 1:4
In him was life, and that life was the light of all mankind.

John 8:12
When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”
