100th day 2018

A few weeks ago, we had our 100th day of school... I almost forgot about it this year! We had been busy and it kinda snuck up on me! We took a day off from the "normal" routine, and read our books that we usually read, made our 100-piece cat puzzle (I didn't get a picture), made link chains of 100 links, and more. I wore my 100 button vest, and Bethany wore a shirt that had 100 fingers on it, we painted several years ago with handprints.

I felt like I was getting sick that day, and I wasn't up to the normal amount of work. We did make lists of 100 animals (divided into groups like mammals, birds, fish, etc.,) and a list of 100 foods (divided into grains, fruit and veggies, etc.,)

The girls have been really into making origami lately (in 3rd grade and 5th/6th) in their spare time, so they made origami 100s too! We made a picture using a black 1, 0, 0 numerals to create something. Bethany's was an octopus and Mallory's was an alien. We also made a cupcake together, and they cut out and glued on 100 sprinkles. It was a fun day!

They had "sprinkles" of construction paper all over their hands! :-D

What did you do for your 100th day of school? I'd love to hear about it!

We read this parable on the 100th day of school too...

Luke 15:3-7
Then Jesus told them this parable:  “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one of them. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?  And when he finds it, he joyfully puts it on his shoulders 6 and goes home. Then he calls his friends and neighbors together and says, ‘Rejoice with me; I have found my lost sheep.’  I tell you that in the same way there will be more rejoicing in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who do not need to repent.
