Music Monday: New Year's Day

Even though today is January 2, we are still celebrating the New Year today. There is a great song that is several years old called "New Year's Day" by Carolyn Arends. We had seen her in concert many years ago with Rich Mullins and we really enjoyed her and her music. This song is from her "Seize the Day and Other Stories" CD. I hope you enjoy this song!

I love this Bible verse and how it relates to this song:


"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." 1 John 1:9

I like this song because it reminds me that I need to resolve to change each and every day, not just the first few days in January. I can start over any day of the year! I'm thankful that our God is a God of second chances! When I screw up and come back to him through it, he forgives, over and over again! What a great God we serve!
