Spring Break highlights

We had a very fun Spring Break last week. We had some activities planned to keep us busy and to have some fun. On Monday, we went to the library-- I figured it would help keep the kids busy the rest of the week if they had books and DVDs to use. It worked a little... I don't have any pictures of us at the library though... :-D

On Tuesday, we enjoyed a day off with Daddy. He tuned up all of the bikes, and the kids were happy to ride in the gorgeous weather! Then we went to a local Rec center/pool in the afternoon. We had a great time splashing and playing together there, and then we went out to dinner at a local pizza place-- YUM!

On Wednesday, we had a "game day" with my sister-in-law and the cousins. My SIL and her daughter had their games on slips of paper, and we drew them from a bin-- one for inside games and one for outside. We played a nice variety of games and had a great time together!

Playing a fun game of "Pictureka" with cousins...
My son running during the obstacle course outside...
On Thursday, we went to a local museum and learned about some local history. We've been there before, but not for a while. The kids enjoyed it!

On the top of the museum, there is a tower that you can look out and see the city, and compare it to what was there 50-100 years ago. Who knew we used to have a YMCA and a Zoo here?!
On Friday, we spent the morning cleaning and preparing for my daughter's birthday party.
Since I had made a cake faux-pax my husband and daughter made cake pops out of my disaster! It was a wonderful ending to a great week away from "normal"... and we are still enjoying the cake pops! I may have to make them into a blog post...
