Advent Wreath

Last year, we bought a simple advent wreath and candles at our local Christian bookstore. We have really enjoyed adding this tradition to our Christmas. Last year, I found this free booklet called, "How to Do an Advent Wreath", and it included readings, verses and directions for an advent wreath. We have enjoyed it, and you can find it here. The kids like taking turns lighting the candles, and the reading only takes a few minutes each evening. I bought a new set of advent candles at the bookstore again. There is such symbolism and great themes to discuss at this time of year.

I hope you will consider this tradition in your home, and that the free booklet works for you too!

Matthew 24: 36-39
“But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. As it was in the days of Noah, so it will be at the coming of the Son of Man... That is how it will be at the coming (The Advent) of the Son of Man.

2 Peter 3:13
But in keeping with his promise we are looking forward to a new heaven and a new earth, where righteousness dwells.

1 Corinthians 1:7
Therefore you do not lack any spiritual gift as you eagerly wait for our Lord Jesus Christ to be revealed..." and be ever ready for his second Advent!
