Favorite Thanksgiving books (for kids)

Several years ago, I was in a Scholastic book club for homeschoolers. I liked it because I was able to get inexpensive books for our homeschool library. Some of the books that I ordered back then where some Thanksgiving books that we still read to our kids today.
This book, I'm Thankful Each Day, is a cute board book with rhyming text encouraging children to be thankful each day, not just at Thanksgiving. That is a good attitude to foster in all children (and adults too)-- our days are filled with blessings!

This book begins with, "Thanks for Thanksgiving, for turkey and pie..." and is filled with rich illustrations including many facets of a child's life-- school, music, outdoors, games, animals, dress-up and more. The text is poetic and the book is quite relatable to children.

This book is one that was read to me as a child, and we read it in homeschool with FIAR (Five In A Row curriculum). I enjoy the illustrations, alliteration and mystery in the book. We like to make Cranberry Bread around the holidays too!
This book is a fun book because Mrs. Moose wants a turkey for Thanksgiving, and Mr. Moose sets out to find one. The turkey is of course hiding, and there is a surprise for the turkey when he comes! It is a very cute story and the faces on the animals have so much expression!

This is a great book which has some pictures but a good explanation about what happened at the first Thanksgiving in the 1600's. It discusses the voyage, the first year in Plymouth, shows the houses they made, tools they used, how they met Squanto and more. The first Thanksgiving in America last three whole days! The Pilgrims had much to be thankful for, and we do too!

I'm sure you could find these books at the library. Do you have any Thanksgiving books that your children enjoy? I'd love to hear about them!

Psalm 69:30
I will praise God’s name in song and glorify him with thanksgiving.

Psalm 95:2
Let us come before him with thanksgiving and extol him with music and song.
Psalm 100:4
Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.

Ezra 3:11
With praise and thanksgiving they sang to the Lord: “He is good; his love toward Israel endures forever.” And all the people gave a great shout of praise to the Lord, because the foundation of the house of the Lord was laid.
