We had Spring Break last week from homeschool, so no kindergarten post this time. : - D
We stayed close to home for most of the break, but we did get a chance to leave town for 2 + days at the end of the week to visit my mom-in-law and sis-in-law. We took a few hikes, went geocaching, did some crafting, played with friends, played dice games at Nana's, read books and relaxed a lot. Other than a negative run-in with a neighbor and Bethany getting sick at the end of the week, it was a perfect week!
We took a nice hike with friends... it was the perfect time of year for it, nice and warm, not too hot and not too cold...Here are the kids at the end of the hike...
Here is my friend Dionne and me...
This was when we were geocaching along the river... it was lovely to hear the bubbling of the water as we walked...
We found two out of three geocaches that day!
Loved this doormat ant my sis-in-law's house... their two dogs really think they are guard dogs... they even barked when we woke up in the morning and when we came out of the bathroom!
We went to the park before we left to come home, and the kids played. Dad and Caleb played catch and the girls played with pinecones since the slides were too hot... it was lots of fun! Daddy and Mallory tried to fly kites twice this week, but didn't really get the kite up enough. We also had two baseball practices for Caleb, since Spring baseball begins the week after Easter!
A few verses about rivers...
Joshua 4:18
And the priests came up out of the river carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord. No sooner had they set their feet on the dry ground than the waters of the Jordan returned to their place and ran at flood stage as before.
Psalm 46:4
There is a river whose streams make glad the city of God, the holy place where the Most High dwells.
Psalm 98:8
Let the rivers clap their hands, let the mountains sing together for joy;
Psalm 105:41
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it flowed like a river in the desert.
