Kindergarten: Z week

We had a ZANY week last week in kindergarten during Z week! We talked about zigzags, cut zigzags, zippers, zoos, zebras, wrote zero and discussed words such as zip and zilch. Bethany wrote our zip code. We found Zambia and Zaire and Zurich on a map. We wrote down Z names such as Zach, Zane and Zander. We read lots of Z books. I didn't get lots of photos because we had a MOPS meeting that I attended as an alumni, and we had a VBS planning meeting the next day. It was a busy week, but always fun learning together!

You can find the zoo math printables here.

You can find the zebra sticker/dot marker page here.
Zigzag cutting...

Bethany's "zipper" that she made for her shirt!

We only have one more week of school left... we will talk about numbers!

Ezra 5:1
Now Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the prophet, a descendant of Iddo, prophesied to the Jews in Judah and Jerusalem in the name of the God of Israel, who was over them

Luke 1:13
But the angel said to him: “Do not be afraid, Zechariah; your prayer has been heard. Your wife Elizabeth will bear you a son, and you are to call him John.

Luke 1:58-60
Her neighbors and relatives heard that the Lord had shown her great mercy, and they shared her joy.

On the eighth day they came to circumcise the child, and they were going to name him after his father Zechariah, 60 but his mother spoke up and said, “No! He is to be called John.”
