We had a fun and fabulous Valentine's day this year! We had a party at our church with homeschool friends on Friday for lunch. The moms all brought food for a potluck, and one mom brought cute cherry chocolate kiss mice for dessert! They were just adorable with their little cherry stem tails!
We played games and traded Valentines with friends...It was fun to be together!
Such a cute group of elementary (and a few middle school) kids!
After lunch, my hubby gave me this heart and told me to be ready at 3:00... Oooh la la!
We went to a local hotel, checked in a chatted for a while. Then we walked around downtown, went to a few antique stores and a candy store that has a fun variety of candy. We bought some for the kids! We had a lovely dinner and breakfast downtown too. Yum!
Bethany loved her candy necklace...
On Sunday morning, the girls read their cards from Caleb together... we did brush hair before church!
Our uncle spoiled us with Valentines donuts for Sunday!
My sweet valentines from my kids... <3 p="">
How was your Valentine's day this year? Did you do anything special? I'd love to hear about it!
1 John 4:11-12Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; but if we love one another, God lives in us and his love is made complete in us.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.3>
