Birthday highlights 2020

Recently I had a birthday! It was a little different this year... we didn't take the whole family out for lunch or dinner like last year, or other years. We had my hubby's yummy pancakes for breakfast (with lemon essential oil-- yum!). We started a new (to us) 1,000 piece puzzle. I went out for a late lunch with my hubby, but we had to eat the food in the car instead of dining in. Then we went to our favorite garden place and got pansies! I love them.

For dinner, my oldest daughter came over and helped make it with the younger girls. It was white chicken lasagna, with a salad and wine. So delicious! My 13-year- old made strawberry shortcake for dessert and it was so good! We went on a walk/ hike with the kids in the evening. My son had to work that night, but my oldest daughter had her boyfriend dine with us, so he walked with us too. It was a lovely day!

 The next morning, in between chores, we played Yahtzee in the yard.

 I bought this cool wooden stand for my essential oils and for the diffuser to sit on top...
 ...and a new tray for my coffee table, and a new game! We love it-- so fun and funny! Thanks for the cash, Mom and Dad!
I got a new LuLaRoe outfit from my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. It's so comfy!

It was a lovely day, and getting to decide on and waiting for gifts to arrive just extended the celebration! It's always nice to get a little something new. We will enjoy the gifts for a while!


Mark 4:21-25
He said to them, “Do you bring in a lamp to put it under a bowl or a bed? Instead, don’t you put it on its stand? For whatever is hidden is meant to be disclosed, and whatever is concealed is meant to be brought out into the open. If anyone has ears to hear, let them hear.” “Consider carefully what you hear,” he continued. “With the measure you use, it will be measured to you—and even more. Whoever has will be given more; whoever does not have, even what they have will be taken from them.”


Philippians 4:10-13
I rejoiced greatly in the Lord that at last, you renewed your concern for me. Indeed, you were concerned, but you had no opportunity to show it. I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances. I know what it is to be in need, and I know what it is to have plenty. I have learned the secret of being content in any and every situation, whether well fed or hungry, whether living in plenty or in want. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.
