Craft: Flexagons

Want something fun to do with your kids? My girls and I discovered this website last week and had fun creating Flexagons. What is a Flexagon, you ask? It is a hexagon that is flexible, and it has three sides! When you fold it and flex it, you discover the third side. This is not just for kids, though. My husband and I enjoyed manipulating them and figuring out how to get to the third side.

You can read more about them here: https://www.auntannie.com/Geometric/Flexagon/

We printed three different versions and found that the blue & white one was not the best. We liked the stars one. My daughter began coloring one and hasn't finished it yet.

These are easy enough to print out, cut, fold, and manipulate. It is a little bit like origami. I thought it was a fun thing to keep our hands busy! Since we enjoyed it so much, I thought I would share it.

Proverbs 10:4
Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.

Ecclesiastes 10:18
Through laziness, the rafters sag; because of idle hands, the house leaks.

Ecclesiastes 11:6
Sow your seed in the morning, and at evening let your hands not be idle, for you do not know which will succeed, whether this or that, or whether both will do equally well.
