Music Monday: "Not for a Moment (After All)"

This is a song that I've been enjoying a lot on the radio lately. We finally figured out who sings it (not Christy Nockels, like I thought!) and bought the song. I like Meredith Andrews' voice, and the lyrics of this song. I like the message of this song, that God is always there for us-- in the middle of the storm, even in the worst times, the dark, when we feel alone-- He does not forsake or leave us. He is constant, He is good, He is sovereign... such great traits to remember each and every day! I hope you enjoy this song too!

"Not For A Moment (After All)"

[Verse 1]
You were reaching through the storm
Walking on the water
Even when I could not see
In the middle of it all
When I thought You were a thousand miles away
Not for a moment did You forsake me
Not for a moment did You forsake me

[Chorus]
After all You are constant
After all You are only good
After all You are sovereign
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Not for a moment will You forsake me

[Verse 2]
You were singing in the dark
Whispering Your promise
Even when I could not hear
I was held in Your arms
Carried for a thousand miles to show
Not for a moment did You forsake me

[Chorus]

And every step every breath you are there
Every tear every cry every prayer
In my hurt at my worst
When my world falls down
Not for a moment will You forsake me
Even in the dark
Even when it's hard
You will never leave me
After all

[Chorus]
Not for a moment will You forsake me

You can listen to this song on YouTube here.

2 Samuel 7:22
“How great you are, Sovereign Lord! There is no one like you, and there is no God but you, as we have heard with our own ears.

Psalm 73:28
But as for me, it is good to be near God. I have made the Sovereign Lord my refuge; I will tell of all your deeds.

John 6:18-20

A strong wind was blowing and the waters grew rough. When they had rowed about three or four miles, they saw Jesus approaching the boat, walking on the water; and they were frightened.  But he said to them, “It is I; don’t be afraid.”
