School time fun!

School time fun!
This year in school we are studying Rome to the Reformation with My Father's World. We have enjoyed lots of projects this year, learning about arches, castles, and much more.

In the Roman unit, we built an arch out of pudding and jello boxes. Daddy helped the kids build this by trimming the boxes on one side, so they would be a wedge for the Roman arch. Here is what it looked like (we taped it together with masking tape...)

In the next unit of the year, we talked a lot about English and European history, including the Crusades, knights and castles. There was a "Make A Castle" kit included with our curriculum this year. Daddy helped the kids make this one evening and they have been enjoying it ever since. They learned a lot about reading, following directions, cutting and gluing precisely. (Perfect job for my first-born husband!)

It's been a fun year so far in history! We look forward to more cool projects to come!

Acts 17:25-27

And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else. From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands. God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.
Joshua 23:3
You yourselves have seen everything the Lord your God has done to all these nations for your sake; it was the Lord your God who fought for you.

Psalm 98:2
The Lord has made his salvation known and revealed his righteousness to the nations.
