Mallory's 8th birthday!

The cool LEGO table decoration her brother made for her!
This past weekend, we had a fun 8th birthday party for our daughter, Mallory! We chose a "Frozen" (movie) theme this year and had lots of fun! I found some great printables on Pinterest for snowflakes to cut and decorate, a design and idea for a poster of Olaf that we could pin his carrot nose on, cards for the food table and more. We bought blue and white balloons to decorate with too, and blue streamers too. It was a fun party where we had sandwiches (we didn't finish each other's though...), popcorn (Elsa's snowflakes), Knox bloc blue jello squares (Kristoff's ice cubes), Olaf's noses (baby carrots),  Olaf's snowman buttons (Oreos), Olaf's snowman arms (pretzel sticks) and chips. We also had berry blue Mio brand drink, and Sprite.

The cake didn't turn out as we planned, but it was fine. We bought cool whip for the frosting, which was runnier than regular frosting. The cake ended up being frozen until we served it. We put blue sprinkles and wrote her name on top. That was all!

The morning of her party, we let her open one gift, and it was a shirt and jeans to wear AT the party! She loves it!
 Daddy frosting the chocolate cake...
The party table set-up, with signs, and decorations...
Daddy bought out girl these beautiful BLUE hydrangeas for her bday!
Opening gifts after dinner... this was her face when she got the FROZEN movie on DVD!
A cute Frozen "Sisters Forever" shirt from her sisters...
 A lego friends set- YEA!
Reading (with no help) the card from Grandpa and Grandma!
A cute snow hat from our friends...
 Pin the nose on Olaf...
The cake already to blow out the candles...
After church on Sunday, we served the traditional new age number pancake... (these were pumpkin--yum!)
Two sweet friends over after church, and they gave her sweet gifts too-- A Rainbow Loom, rubber bands, a stuffed animal leopard, a trio of bracelets for each one of them to wear, and a unicorn she painted herself! There was lots of singing, giggling and dancing that night, especially while we watched her new Frozen movie!

It was a great birthday! She loved her gifts, and was so smiley all day! We sure love our brand-new EIGHT-year-old girl!

Numbers 6:24-26
“‘“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”’

1 Samuel 17:12
Now David was the son of an Ephrathite named Jesse, who was from Bethlehem in Judah. Jesse had eight sons, and in Saul’s time he was very old.

Luke 9:27-28
About eight days after Jesus said this, he took Peter, John and James with him and went up onto a mountain to pray. As he was praying, the appearance of his face changed, and his clothes became as bright as a flash of lightning.
