Kindergarten: U week

Last week in homeschool kindergarten, we had fun talking about all things U related-- us, umbrellas, under, up, under the big top (circus), units, ukuleles, Uncle Sam, Utah, U.S.A., unicorns, etc., We read books about under and over, up and down, waking up, eating up, lacing under and over, underground, under the sea, underwater, the "Land down under", and the ugly duckling. We played the game UNO too! We played a dice game to illustrate units with our math blocks. We discussed urine and udders (cow). We looked at people in uniform online. Most of what we did involved the circus, and under the big top. We stamped and counted balloons, made a shape clown, colored a clown hat, and read circus books. We also made a paper plate umbrella and did a rain/ umbrella file folder game. It was an unusual week, but interesting!
