Faith is what if...

Do you enjoy reading good writing which makes you think? This is from an email that I received several years ago that I have kept to read over again. I hope you will enjoy these questions and think about them.

FAITH IS WHAT IF...

What if God decided to stop leading us tomorrow because we didn't follow Him today?

What if God couldn't take the time to bless us today because we couldn't take the time to thank Him yesterday?

What if we never saw another flower bloom because we grumbled when God sent the rain?

What if God didn't walk with us today because we failed to recognize it as His day?

What if, God took away the Bible tomorrow because we would not read it today?

What if, God took away His message because we failed to listen to the messenger? <==(think about this one...)

What if, God didn't send His only begotten Son because He wanted us to be prepared to pay the price for sin?

What if, the door of the church was closed because we did not open the door of our heart?

What if, God stopped loving and caring for us because we failed to love and care for others?

What if, God would not hear us today because we would not listen to Him?

What if, God answered our prayers  the way we answer His call to service?

What if, God met our needs the way we give Him our lives?

------------------------------------------------------
Makes you think, doesn't it? Are you listening and following HIM today? Have you thanked HIM today?

Matthew 16:24
Then Jesus said to his disciples, “Whoever wants to be my disciple must deny themselves and take up their cross and follow me.

John 3:16
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.

Colossians 3:17
And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.

Thankful Thursday #2: Lilacs

Thankful Thursday: Lilacs

What are you thankful for this week? As usual, I am thankful for many, many things. One of my favorite things about spring time in Colorado is all of the blooming flowers! And our lilacs are blooming right now! They are just gorgeous in color and smell divine! I love walking under them (they are near a gate between the back yard and side yard) and just smelling, sniffing as I walk slowly!

I thought you might enjoy these pics my daughter took of them! You can almost smell them too, can't you?
We have three varieties-- purple, light purple and white. Some of them look pink to me too!

I think God enjoyed creating the wide variety of flowers, don't you? And remember, He cares for you more than He cares for His flowers and they are clothed in splendor!

Matthew 6:28
“And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin.

Luke 12:27
“Consider how the wild flowers grow. They do not labor or spin. Yet I tell you, not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these.

Isaiah 40:8
The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever.”

Wordless Wednesday: Mother's Day 2013

I had a lovely Mother's Day here at home with my family. There was jewelry and a pretty blue candle holder that I got at breakfast before church.

After church, Daddy made pancakes and I read the paper on the couch. I napped while hubby napped a little and then he prepared dessert and dinner. Unfortunately, my mother-in-law got sick and was unable to attend our backyard BBQ, and one of my nieces got sick too. :( Even though our celebration was considerably smaller than planned, we still enjoyed my parents here.

Here are some pics of me with my precious kids, enjoy!
 My sweet Bethany

My beautiful Rebekah (inside and out)
My joyful Mallory
My handsome son
My hunky hubby and me :-D

Dinner was grilled beer brats, salads, chips and soda. Dessert was homemade strawberry shortcake. Thanks to my Dad for cutting all the strawberries and for buying the salads and whip cream. It was delicious!
I felt loved and spoiled all day!

Oh, and my hubby gave me a clematis plant for our backyard, which we planted! Can't wait to see it's pretty purple flowers soon!

Happy belated Mother's Day! I hope all of the moms were spoiled by their families today.
Remember, God ordained you to be the mother of your children! WOW!

Proverbs 31:10, 27-28
A wife of noble character who can find? She is worth far more than rubies. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

Ephesians 5:31
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh."

1 Thessalonians 2:7-8
Instead, we were like young children among you. Just as a nursing mother cares for her children, so we cared for you. Because we loved you so much, we were delighted to share with you not only the gospel of God but our lives as well.
