H

I've said before that as a teacher and a mother, my favorite age of children is between 2 1/2 and age 4. My youngest daughter is this age now, and she is SO cute! I LOVE hearing her talk, and the way she says lots of words. She is walking, can get up and down from her booster seat at the dinner table, and into her car seat. She doesn't often throw tantrums, and I am able to reason with her at times. She does have her own opinions, and sometimes they are strong ones! But for the most part, she is a JOY in our family.
My baby princess at age 2 1/2- SO BIG!
We often chuckle at her sayings and the way she talks. Last week we went to the pool, and she said "We doh himming." (We go Swimming.) She also says that when she sees the pictures of our pool day. One of the main things I've noticed about her is that she uses H to begin a lot of words she says. Here are a few more examples: "Hig"= pig, "Hake"= take, "Hiss"= kiss, "Hampa"= Grandpa, "har"= car, and more. She often says, "I do it my-helf." I think it's kinda cute, but I do try to correct her some.

I remember my older kids going through the same phase. I remember riding in the car with my oldest daughter, Rebekah. She was looking out the window and she'd say, "HAG!", which meant she saw a FLAG. :-D We looked for flags often after 9/11 happened in the U.S.

Bethany also says words that we don't quite understand. She says, "Faddy" for cracker. If we encourage her, and works on saying it correctly, she'll say "Fadder." But usually her word for graham crackers or Wheat Thins is "faddy."  Other sayings that she says now are: "Oh-tay" for ok, "I so tired", "Mum-On" for Come on, and my personal favorite, "I wuv you, Momma". She is a sweet girl, and usually I wish she'd stay so precious and little, but I don't know how to keep her this way. :( So instead I'll just get out the video camera a little more often, and maybe it will help me remember my baby girl when she was so small. The bad thing about babies is they have to grow up!

(Big kids are fun too, just in different and less precious ways! :-D)
