(Ok, not so wordless!)
We had a fantastic week of VBS at our church last week! Our four kids had a great time in the worship rally singing songs, making crafts, playing games outside, hearing Bible lessons, and eating delicious snacks. Since hubby is the worship pastor at our church, he led music in the worship rally with our band, "Millennium Force". I also sang on the worship team, took pictures and video, as well as helping in crafts. Our theme was "Colossal Coaster World" as you saw on my blog last week. The music was lots of fun to sing and sign! Enjoy the pics!
The week before VBS we helped with decorations. I painted this sign for the older kids (4th-6th grade) group. I am not an artist, but I am crafty. There is a difference! It was fun to help my friend Kelly!
Mallory enjoyed crafts on Monday, sitting by her friends getting ready to decorate her "popcorn" bag.
Mallory with her "fear" rider bookmark she made in crafts on Wednesday.
Bethany in her "roller coaster car" on Friday, leaving the opening rally for the preschool room. (She has the blue Bronco hat and red shirt in the middle.)
Caleb (in red hat) making his balloon bracelet in crafts on Friday with his partner.
Rebekah helped in Bible for the Kind-1st graders and was a helper for the 4th-6th grade class.
On Friday, we allowed parents to come to the closing worship rally. We sang three songs, watched the highlights video from the week and then had an outdoor picnic/ slip-n-slide party in the backyard of our church. The kids had a great time eating BBQ, slipping-n-sliding with friends and playing in the little pools. The weather was nice and sunny, so it was a great day for it! The only one who ended up sunburnt was Rebekah-- oops!
Bethy outside the pool/ slide area...

We loved getting to share God's word and love with over 200 kids each day! Such fun, but we were exhausted! We are looking forward to a more relaxing week at home this week!
Our theme verse:
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.
A challenge verse from this week:
Romans 12:2b
Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
ABC's of becoming a Christian:
A- admit your sin- Romans 3:23- for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
B- believe in Jesus- John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
C- Confess your faith in Jesus- Romans 10:9-10, 13 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
