We had another fun Halloween this past week. The kids had a great time dressing up (I did too, in my nurse's scrubs-- SO comfy!) and at our church's harvest party. The kids can go around our large gymnasium, play games, and collect candy. The youth kids and retired folks help run the booths. I enjoy chatting with friends and seeing all of the costumes! Here are ours, in case you missed them!
Daddy made pumpkin pancakes that morning-- shaped like pumpkins with green stems and chocolate chips! YUM!
Bethany's butter looked like a nose! ;-D
Caleb (age 10 3/4) was Peyton Manning.
Mallory (age 7) was a black cat.
My hubby was Clark Kent. :-D
Our oldest daughter was Hermione Granger from Harry Potter.
Our youngest wanted to be Thor. I found costume ideas on Pinterest to help, and she got her wish! She was a very cute Thor too!
Here's the group all together, eager to play! (The older two worked at the booths!)
Bethany getting an explanation how to throw a dart to break a balloon.
Thor and our friend's boy as Iron Man-- so cool!
Romans 12:21
Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.
1 John 2:14
I write to you, dear children, because you know the Father. I write to you, fathers, because you know him who is from the beginning. I write to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God lives in you, and you have overcome the evil one.
Ephesians 6:13-15
Therefore put on the full armor of God, so that when the day of evil comes, you may be able to stand your ground, and after you have done everything, to stand. Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist, with the breastplate of righteousness in place, and with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace.
