Music Monday: "Lord, I need You"

This past weekend, my brother posted a song that I've heard before on Facebook as an acoustic video. I listened and I've had it in my head ever since... it's a great song to have in my head! I hope you'll enjoy this song too! What a wonderful message... so true. I do need Him!

"Lord, I Need You" by Matt Maher, (featuring Audrey Assad)

Lord, I come, I confess
Bowing here I find my rest
Without You I fall apart
You're the One that guides my heart

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Where sin runs deep Your grace is more
Where grace is found is where You are
And where You are, Lord, I am free
Holiness is Christ in me

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Teach my song to rise to You
When temptation comes my way
And when I cannot stand I'll fall on You
Jesus, You're my hope and stay

Lord, I need You, oh, I need You
Every hour I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

You're my one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You
My one defense, my righteousness
Oh God, how I need You

Psalm 5:8
Lead me, Lord, in your righteousness because of my enemies— make your way straight before me.

Psalm 18:24
The Lord has rewarded me according to my righteousness, according to the cleanness of my hands in his sight.

1 Corinthians 3:9-11

For we are co-workers in God’s service; you are God’s field, God’s building. By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ.
