Wordless Wednesday: Spring Break Fun! (Part Two)

Last week we were in the "big city" with our family. You can see the first post of our Spring Break adventures here. On Monday, our family was able to go with us to the Science museum.  We had a great time!

Buddies/ cousins waiting to go in...
The girls dressed up like astronauts in the Mission Space exhibit...
In the health exhibit, this display showed a really cool heart model, with detail...
The crazy bunch after we checked out the animal exhibits...

On Tuesday, we went to the Zoo with my sister and her two kids. It was another full day and we enjoyed it a lot. (except for the part when I lost my phone for 20 minutes!)
My son looking like the penguins in the exhibit...
This elephant was drinking water... loved him.
Here's me with elephant ears. Not a good look! ;-D
We went to the elephant show, and got a good seat in the front on a ledge... I loved all 15 minutes of it.
Billy was posing and I never got him when he was smiling, it was too quick! He stood on each of his legs at different times.
His reward was chunks of fruit and veggies, which he loved. The trainer said this 6 year old elephant eats 1 1/2 bales of hay each day. The older elephant will eat two bales a day. That's a lot of hay!

My nephew Jakob being a walrus with pretzel sticks. He thought it was SO funny!
One of the amazing birds that God created! The bird house is always a favorite of ours. It's so humid!
My sweet niece in her stroller... She did pretty well!
The orangutan with big pouches near his mouth...
Giraffe reaching HIGH!
We found a R.O.U.S. (Princess Bride) --they really do exist, Westley! It is called a capybara, and it is the world's largest rodent!
These cute kids are much shorter than the polar bear...

Bethy with a cute umbrella that we looked at from the gift shop...
We were sad to leave our sweet family on Wednesday, but were ready to get back home!
These boys were so happy to be together this week!
And these girl cousins were happy and giggly and bouncy all week too. Thanks for having us, we miss you already!

Genesis 1:24-26

And God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: the livestock, the creatures that move along the ground, and the wild animals, each according to its kind.” And it was so. 25 God made the wild animals according to their kinds, the livestock according to their kinds, and all the creatures that move along the ground according to their kinds. And God saw that it was good.
26 Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky, over the livestock and all the wild animals,[a] and over all the creatures that move along the ground.”

Genesis 9:9-11

“I now establish my covenant with you and with your descendants after you 10 and with every living creature that was with you—the birds, the livestock and all the wild animals, all those that came out of the ark with you—every living creature on earth. 11 I establish my covenant with you: Never again will all life be destroyed by the waters of a flood; never again will there be a flood to destroy the earth.
